Krušnohorská magistrála

Across the entire Krušné hory Mountains you can ride on the 242 km long Krušnohorská
magistrála. In summer, it is being used by hikers and cyclists while in winter it is a paradise
for white trail lovers. The Krušnohorská magistrála is the main path for people who love
cycling, which leads them through the whole mountain range from the very Western part
of the republic at Cheb as far north as the Northern-Bohemian Sněžník located near Děčín,
where it connects to the Labská trail.

Krušnohorská bílá stopa - Krušné hory White Trail

Until recently the Krušné hory Mountains have been laced by heterogeneous and unconnected cross country tracks that were not maintained and cared for. Six centres of KBS (Krušné hory White Trail) succeeded to connect the Krušné hory Mountains edges by, roughly speaking, 250 km of shaped cross country tracks. The altitude of the tracks is between 750 m to 950 m above the sea level. The tracks go from the centre of Lesná to the confines of Most and Chomutov regions through Klíny, Dlouhá Louka, Bouřňák, Fojtovice and Telnice.

In the resort of Lesná there are 6 marked circuits with lengths from 5 to 25 km, offering cross country skiing activities for beginners and competitive athletes. The tracks are prepared by the Horský klub (Mountain Club) of Lesná. The Krušnohorská bílá stopa trail (the Ore Mountain White Trail) starts there. The car park in front of the Hotel Lesná has the capacity of 30 places. The hotel offers accommodation for 45 people; the next 19 people can be accommodated in adjacent educational and recreational centres in Lesná. There is a possibility to borrow cross country skiing equipment.

Boží Dar

Boží Dar

The area around Boží Dar offers ideal conditions for cross country skiing lovers; over 100 km of tracks are shaped for both classic and skate styles. The tracks are connected to the ski resort of Oberwiesenthal-Fichtelberg in neighbouring Germany. Thanks to the convenient position of Boží Dar it is possible to go cross country skiing on the shaped tracks at a time when other ski resorts are only getting prepared for the winter.

Klíny - Mračný vrch

On Mračný vrch hill (Cloudy Hill) in Klíny there are 5 marked circuits from 1.6 km to 4.7 km long. The shaped tracks total length is 45 km and is connected to circuits in Seiffen and to the Krušnohorská bílá stopa (Krušné hory Mountains White Trail) towards the villages of Nová Ves or Dlouhá Louka. The cross country tracks in Klíny are maintained by the Mountain Club Litvínov, o.s. The car park has a capacity of 400 places.

Fojtovice

In the area of Fojtovice there are 32 km of regularly shaped cross country tracks. The tracks are shaped by the RSC Fojtovice, o.s. At the point of departure there is a car park for 100 cars and nearby the tracks it is possible to find a snack-bar and accommodation.

Sportcentrum Bouřňák

The Sportcentrum Bouřňák has 50 km of tracks nearby the hill Tří pánů, the towns of Moldava, Nové Město, Mikulov and Cínovec. The car park in the resort has the capacity up to 1,000 cars. There is also a possibility of accommodation, catering and ski equipment rental.

Dlouhá Louka

Dlouhá Louka

The resort in Dlouhá Louka offers to cross country skiers 6 circuits 3 km to 25 km long connected to tracks in Germany. The tracks are maintained by the Krušnohorský klub (Ore Mountains Club). When the snow conditions are good there is a regular skibus from Litvínov and Osek to Dlouhá Louka every weekend. The car park has a capacity of 150 cars. Accommodation and catering is possible in the guest houses of Rozcestí and Panorama.

Ski klub Telnice

The cross country ski centre in the area of the village near Telnice offers 30 km of shaped tracks for classic and skate styles. The tracks are maintained by the SKI klub Telnice. The adjacent car park has the capacity of 400 cars; nearby there is the possibility of getting refreshments in kiosks and restaurants as well as accommodation.
