For more information
The museum was founded in the area of the former Julius III mine. Its main goal is to show the public the history of mining and coal processing in this part of the Northern-Bohemian Brown Coal Basin. The visitors have a possibility "to go down" the man-made shaft, to see 3D projections or authentic models. They can also view an exhibition about coal utilisation in further chemical processing. The exhibition is focused on the chemical industry and the life of miners as well as landscape reclamation. Guided tours start every hour.
