The ski resort in Klínovec is the biggest ski resort of the Krušné Hory Mountains with the transport capacity of 8,050 persons an hour. The resort offers 12 km of downhill runs with various degrees of difficulties and its total area is 35 hectares. 80% of the ski slopes can be covered by artificial snow. In 2011, the resort was modernised and several ski lifts were replaced by a 4-seat chair lift with protective covers. Also the downhill runs were extended and enlarged. There was a new cash system and checking systems installed to enable the implementation of multi-day tickets together with the neighbouring resort of Fichtelberg in Oberwiesenthal in the FRG. In Klínovec, there are currently 3 chair lifts and 7 ski lifts, a snow park with U-ramp from the Superpipe FIS class and 30 km of cross-country tracks.
