For more information

Experience the toil of the miners as it really was, up close in the Gnade Gottes Erbstollen exhibition mine, a non-ferrous metal mine started in 1515. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers from the Olbernhau Mining Association, a 180 metre stretch has been redeveloped and the underground world made accessible to visitors, both young and old alike. In the Olbernhau Hutzenstübl, or lace-making parlour, at the Saigerhütte in Grünthal, the association has a variety of traditional Erzgebirge trades and technologies on display. These are extremely fascinating, and visitors are even allowed to try their hand at a couple of them. EVENT HIGHLIGHTS - 8 and 9 September 2012: Open Monuments Days and Association party - 20 and 21 October 2012: Day of Traditional Crafts - 15 December 2012 Mettenschicht celebration at the exhibition mine For more details go to www.bergbau-live.de
