The inn, which is located in the Stollberg area of Gablenz, is a jewel, inside and out: the building has a special flair, mainly thanks to its heritage-protected art nouveau hall. The warm hospitality cultivated there in the 19th century has been maintained to the present day, and the emphasis is on simple cuisine made from local produce. The Gerd Hecht's specialities are in-house butchering, horse meat and game. Depending on what the forest has to offer, the owner puts boar, venison or deer on the menu. Those who like a hearty wurst acquire a real taste for it in Gablenz: how about a large home-made meat platter, for example? Liver sausage, blood sausage, boiled belly pork and cured meat are prepared in our kitchen - just like they used to be. And you can really taste the difference.
